Arpy Dragffy is the founder of PH1 Research, a 14-year-old product strategy and AI value consultancy, and co-host of the Product Impact Podcast. His work focuses on the gap between AI deployment and AI-driven outcomes — measuring it, closing it, and helping product teams ship AI that compounds rather than decays.
Background
Arpy started PH1 Research in 2012 to give product teams the same evidence-based rigour that engineering teams already had access to. The firm has run more than 300 engagements across enterprise software, fintech, healthtech, consumer apps, and AI products, with clients including Mozilla, Spotify, Google, BBVA, TELUS Health, and Schneider Electric. The pattern Arpy keeps writing about — that adoption metrics flatter the deployment story while value metrics tell a different one — comes directly from that field experience.
In 2025 Arpy founded AI Value Acceleration, the consulting practice focused on the layer above tooling: where enterprise AI investments stall at the behavioural and organisational level, and what it takes to convert deployment into measurable value creation.
Product Impact Podcast
Arpy co-hosts the Product Impact Podcast with Brittany Hobbs. Each episode interrogates how AI is reshaping product, work, and the organisations building both. The show prioritises evidence over hype, names structural problems rather than symptoms, and pushes guests to articulate what AI is actually doing rather than what the marketing says it should be.
The biweekly Product Impact newsletter collects the same arguments in long-form, with original analysis, curated research, and resources for product, design, and AI leaders.
What Arpy writes about

- How AI is changing the practice of product strategy, customer research, and design
- The difference between products that strengthen user agency and products that erode it
